Christmas, Fishing, Personality, Presents, Santa, Sports, The Apprentice, The Premiership, Tottenham

With such high temperatures at this time of year surely it’s going to be a great opportunity to head to the river to fish. So I’m planning where and when.

Lord Sugar has made his choice of candidate as his Apprentice, the number 1 in the Charts is a Mr. Bieber, Tottenham are 4th in the Premiership, Watford beat Liverpool, Andy Murray is Sports Personality Of The Year, Star Wars is set to break box office records, there is no snow in the Alps, a teenager is crowned Scalextric Champion after playing for the first time, young Tales realises Santa isn’t for real and I still haven’t won The Lottery!

Most of my work projects are completed, Christmas gifts purchased, food list finalised and wines selected…bring on Christmas!

Astronaut, Earth, Mankind, Santa, Space

This day marks the first day a British Astronaut visits the Space Station. The question is can he Santa from up there?

One thing he will witness is that we live in a very special place so why does man continue to fight, scar the landscape and pollute the seas…why?

Andrew Field, Fishing, floats, Letter, Royal Mail, Santa, Wish List

On this day an important letter was posted with urgency to a gentleman by the name of Santa. I hope our dear fellows at the Royal Mail will take this letter and with Gods speed deliver it.

Within the envelop are the hopes and dreams of young Tales. We noted this year few things were asked for, his passion for the beautiful game and love of the great outdoors featured, oh and something for his cats…

What he did realise was that he hadn’t asked for any fishing tackle, not that he needs any, however something related to fly fishing or a nice red perch bobber from our dear friend Andrew Field or Paul Cook….we will just have to wait and see.

Barnes Famers Market, Cooking, Dijon Mustard, Dorset, Fshing Books, Jeff Della Mura, Pigeon, Presents, Rabbit Recipie, Santa, Vintage Fishing Floats, Winterbourne Game

There is only one thing on my list to Santa, well two things. The first, a copy of Hooked On Floats by Jeff Della Mura and the other a bright red perch bobber float from Mr Field. I shall at first light head to the post box and post my letter in order that it gets there in time.

I spent most of yesterday helping out at the local Farmers Market, there, I was given some pigeon breasts and half a rabbit by our friends from Winterbourne Game of Dorset. I thought I may pan fry the pigeon and serve with a spiced beetroot, pickled walnuts, apple and pea shoot salad. As for the rabbit, I will cook with Dijon mustard, flame with cognac and serve with celeriac mash and serve with parsnip chips.
