The morning started with a mist over the water but cleared by lunchtime. None of the usual crowed lined the banks except for a tall menacing Heron on guard by the feeder from the Beverley Brook and another further up stream near the outflow the other side of the Depot, a riverside restaurant. The water was broken by a Cormorant that emerged with a small Dace other than that the rowers cruised past on the outbound tide.
